Translating Climate Research into Action

Produktinformationen "Translating Climate Research into Action"

This book introduces a novel translational research framework designed to bridge the persistent gap between climate adaptation research and community-level action in Southeast Asia. Distinctively, it adapts principles from health sciences (contextualisation, co-production, iterative learning, and scalability) to the climate domain, offering a practical model for operationalising research in diverse, resource-constrained settings. Organised across six focused chapters, the book combines theoretical grounding with applied frameworks and regional case examples from Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand. The content is deliberately structured to balance academic rigour with accessibility, making it a valuable resource for researchers, development practitioners, and policy actors. Educationally, it equips readers with actionable tools and structured guidance for designing and implementing climate interventions that are locally grounded, participatory, and scalable. It satisfies the growing need for practical, context-sensitive methods that move beyond policy discourse to enable measurable adaptation outcomes particularly in vulnerable, rapidly changing regions like Southeast Asia. Inhaltsverzeichnis Chapter 1: Climate Adaptation Challenges in Southeast Asia.- Chapter 2: Why Translational Research Matters for Climate Adaptation.- Chapter 3: A Framework for Translating Climate Research into Action.- Chapter 4: Localising the Framework in Southeast Asia.- Chapter 5: From Local Action to Scalable Climate Adaptation.- Chapter 6: From Translational Knowledge to Enduring Climate Governance: Conclusion and Future Directions.
