Proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Unsolved Problems on Noise

Produktinformationen "Proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Unsolved Problems on Noise"

This book brings together a selection of peer-reviewed, original research papers presented at the conference, covering a wide range of noise-related topics. The Unsolved Problems of Noise (UPoN) international conference series, launched in 1996 in Szeged, Hungary, aims to stimulate research on complex and unsolved problems in all aspects of noise, promoting the publication of innovative theoretical and experimental results in highly interdisciplinary fields. The conference offers an inclusive platform to discuss contradictions and limitations of scientific knowledge, with the support of leading figures in the field. Over the years, UPoN has been hosted in several international cities, including Adelaide, Bethesda, Gallipoli, Lyon, Kolkata, Barcelona, Gdansk, and Budapest. In 2026, the conference will be hosted in Messina, where there is a strong scientific tradition in the field of electronic noise. Autorenportrait Graziella Scandurra is an associate professor of Electronics at the University of Messina, Italy. She received her Ph.D. in Information Engineering in 2005. Her research interests focus on low-frequency noise, electronic instrumentation, low-noise measurement techniques, and sensor systems, with applications ranging from electronic devices and materials to biomedical and environmental sensing. A significant part of her research is devoted to the development of ultra-low-noise instrumentation and to the investigation of noise not only as a fundamental phenomenon, but also as a valuable source of information in complex systems. She has authored and co-authored numerous scientific publications and has been actively involved in the organization of international scientific events. She served as a general chair of ICNF 2025 and of the 10th International Conference on Unsolved Problems on Noise (UPoN 2026), held in Messina, Italy. Carmine Ciofi is a full professor of Electronics at the University of Messina, Italy. He received the M.Sc. degree in electronic engineering from the University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy, in 1989, and the Ph.D. degree from the Scuola Superiore S. Anna, Pisa, in 1993. His main research interests include the characterization and the reliability of electronic devices and the design and realization of dedicated electronic instrumentation, with special emphasis on very low-noise measurement systems. He co-authored several peer-reviewed scientific publications and served as a general co-chair of ICNF 2025 and of the 10th International Conference on Unsolved Problems on Noise (UPoN 2026), held in Messina, Italy.
